I have decided to try practicing portrait drawing. It's something I have always been interested in, and have had much frustration with. Considering I am so keen on detail, perfection can be a nuisance! I have only drawn a few portraits before, with each one completed unsatisfactorily. This time around, however, I can say that I was happy with the end result.
This is a portrait of David Tennant in the role of the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who. It was done on Toned Gray paper using black graphite as well as black and white charcoal pencils. The first image is a scanned image. However, since the paper was larger than the scanner, I have also included a photograph of the drawing in entirety. :D
