Short Bio

Drawing began, for me, at the somewhat early age of 12. Of course, there is the childhood drawing, but I am referring to a more serious aspect. It began with Disney characters, and then evolved to drawing people and fashions. Around the age of 17, I came across anime and that soon became my favorite style of drawing. It is where I focused the majority of my art for most of my drawing area.

Though I began with regular pencil and paper, I eventually taught myself to paint and use other forms of media. In the more recent years, I have started to expand on the anime area, and included fantasy related themes to it. I have also picked up a little on still life art as well as portraits.

I am a very artistic individual and have worked on many different hobbies and talents. I have begun to slowly write a novel, and have hundreds of poetry that I have written since about the same time I started to draw. I love to sing, and have written a few songs as well. Eventually, I taught myself to make handmade jewelry, which has inspired to start my business of Trinkets 'N' Treasures LLC. Along with handmade jewelry, I have also expanded into creating other accessory items, such as charms and headbands. I also began to import Jewelry supplies and retail jewelry to sell at lower prices than common chain hobby and supply stores. Eventually, I plan on taking the business from just being online to opening up a store front here in the Denver Metro area.

On a personal level, I am a 28 year old mother of two lovely children. A son and a daughter, who at this time are four and twelve years of age. I have lived in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. for the most part of my life, and it is home for me. I have obtained a degree as a Pharmacy Technician and worked in that for a few years. I am currently attending the Community College of Denver for a minor in Graphic Design and then transferring to a major at The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) in animation.

  1. Hi Lewna, I don't see a 'like' button on your blog, but I do like it. I like your art. I don't paint or draw but I do write: poetry & novels. And I do a little craft work.
It is good to have something creative in your life, isn't it? I wish you every success in all your artistic ventures.

    1. Hi Christine!

It is awesome to have creativity and art in life. It seems to take me over! Thank you so much for your compliments. I write poetry as well, and have tried to write novels..but can never seem to get past chapter 1. LOL!

You are right, I don't have a plus page and hadn't realized it...lol. I will look into adding one on here. I used to have it, but when I changed the layout the last time, I forgot to add it back! Thanks for the mention!

  2. Hi Lewna, I am Carol Turner, author of "Notorious Jefferson County." I stumbled across this when I (periodically) google my books. How fun! I am going to give a book presentation at History Colorado on Halloween this year and plan to tell the story of Isadore and Bessie. I will be sure and mention your adventures. Halloween day, 1 pm at History Colorado. You're invited!
